Latino Outreach Consulting of NC, Inc. was founded in 2005 by Arianna M. Aguilar in Smithfield, NC in response to the need of translation and interpretation services in the area.
About Arianna
Arianna graduated in 2000 in Western New York with a communication and graphic arts degree. She honed her interpreting skills through hands-on experience and training in the mental health, education, and child care fields.
In 2005, she obtained certification in the State of North Carolina as a certified legal interpreter, and served as an interpreter for criminal and civil cases in District and Superior Court in North Carolina, including cases with high media coverage. She also is an interpreter and translator for the Eastern District of North Carolina Federal Public Defender’s Office.
From 2010 to 2012 she was employed by the North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts as the Staff Interpreter for the 11th Judicial District of North Carolina (Johnston, Lee and Harnett Counties).
In 2013, she was awarded Master Certified Interpreter status by the North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts. In 2017, she became a Certified Medical Interpreter-Spanish.
Arianna is also a published author and trainer. Her book “Mental Health Interpreting: Unique Challenges, Practical Solutions” is available on Amazon.
Some of her clients have included the Johnston County Mental Health Department, Rocky Mount Children’s Development Services Agency, Johnston County Public Utilities, the Federal Public Defender’s Office of Eastern North Carolina, Be Active Kids (a program of Blue Cross and Blue Shield), Telelanguage, as well as local attorneys and private clients.
